I've completed just the top of a kaleidoscope, but my plan for quilting when I finally get back to it is to quilt 1/4" around all of the hexagons.

I have one I am working on that is stitched at 1/4 inch around all the hexagons. Now I want to go back and do it at 2 inches to help accent the continuing circles. I will also do a large echo around the hexagons which will have a diameter of about 12 inches. Depending on looks then I may add one with a diameter of 18 inches approximately.
