Quilting a king quilt on a queen Grace Frame

I thought I seen this discussion before, but I can not find it. Can you put a king quilt on a Little Gracie queen frame?

Quilt sizes that aren't specific, such as 'king' or 'queen' aren't much help. You can have a queen quilt with a long drop that is bigger than a king with a short drop. You need to get the exact measurements of the top & the frame and compare those. Having said that, there are ways to manipulate a quilt on a frame that is too small. A common way is to not quilt the borders in the first go and do them after. It's much easier if the borders are not attached. The center is quilted, then the borders quilted separately and added to the main portion using a QAYG technique. Or the center is quilted, the borders (top and backing) are added, a piece of batting is placed in the sandwich and then quilted.

i quilted medium sized king on a 9.5" frame once... took lots of manipulation, but came out fine

The other issue is the quilt's length. If a DSM or mid-arm is being used on the Grace frame, the quilt may not fit as it takes up more room when it is rolled. Quilting half and then turning the quilt around is not a great option.

Thanks. The borders are on. I might seam rip them off if it will fit without the borders. I have had this quilt on my hand frame for almost a year and haven't touched it! Just would like to get it done.
