Quilting labels

Is there a certain free greeting card program online to use for making quilt labels or is there a good one to pay for and download? What do you use?

I just write my own on a piece of fabric left over from the quilt or I do have some pre-printed ones on fabric panels.

I make up my own.

I make my own. I use the Edwardian Script on my computer for the lettering, print it out and then use my light table to trace it on fabric. Then I either embroider it or use a Micron pen. You can make them as fancy or plain as you want. Sometimes I add embroidery, sometimes small fusible appliques.

Anything I can clip and paste into Word is fair game unless is violates copyright. Anything I can print to my printer is also fair game.

I usually use Clip art borders to fit 4 on a sheet of Printed Treasures fabric. If I need it for a specific event, I will put a text box in the center of each border and type a personal message along with my name, city and either date or year the quilt was made. If I know of a few other quilts I will be making during that year I will usually go ahead and create the labels all at one time. Since I don't want to waste this fabric, I will print generic labels with a simple border just to have them on hand for future quilts.

I use the free labels on the June Tailor site (http://www.junetailor.com). Go to the Creativity center, click on interactive tools (3rd down), then click on quilt labels. It will walk you through the 24 labels available to you. I then iron my label fabric onto freezer paper, cut to 8 1/2 x 11 inorder to fit my printer, then print the label. I iron the label to set the ink. For me, it is perfect.
