I'm looking at the Handy Quilter Sweet Sixteen machine (sit down) and the Avante's Pro Stitcher. Does anyone have one of these machines and can you tell me how you like it? We're going to go look at them again today. I think I would rather have the sit-down due to "size"....I don't know where I would put the BIG ONE.....maybe the kitchen?

I don't have these but have tried both machines. If space and money is a big factor the sit down machine would fit the bill, but if not the Avante's with the Pro stitcher would be the one I would choose. The way they work is completely opposite to each other. On the sit down, you move the quilt and on the Avante you move the machine head. Either one will be great! Try both and see which you like the best.

I have the Avante - I love it - don't have the pro stitcher because it is so expensive - but it does take a lot of room to set it up - I have the studio table and it can be set up at 4' or 8' or 12' - I have mine on 8' - it is still big - I want to add the extra 4' but need to remodel my sewing room first - definitely consider how much room you have - because you need room to move around the machine too. Good luck.
