Quilting pattern for this quilt??

What would be a good quilt pattern for this lap quilt? I would like to quilt this on my Singer 301. This is my first quilt and I'd like to finish it myself instead of sending it off to be quilted. What would be an easy one that would look good with this quilt pattern and fabric? I'm totally new to quilting and never tried FMQ so not sure I'm ready for that on this big a quilt. Just need some advise from the experts. I'm giving this lap quilt as a thank you gift to my friends who gave me two beautiful Singer Featherweight 221's shown on a different thread 'my two new babies.' Thanks for your help. - Julie

If you have not done FMQ before, I would do a lot of practice on scraps first. You might want to use a walking foot and do a v shape off center and then echo it. Not sure i made that clear but I can envision it lol. Love the batiks!

Whatever pattern you do chose, I would try it on something besides my quilt, like a scrap quilt sandwich. Until I could do it fairly well. Then do the quilt, A simple menander would look nice. Lovely quilt top by the way. Best of luck to you.

I would get a walking foot and do stitch in a ditch. Really cute by the way! It reminds me of the beach :)
