You might want to go to the top of the page, and click on Search. Then type in Sewing rooms - there are tons of pics on here of great setups.

Do you really want to see the mess. PS there is a good book Quilting rooms try Amazon search aas I cannnot remember anythng else about it.
Phillippa Naylor a patchworker in England suggested that when you have the hole fitted in the worktop for the machine by hubby, make sure you can rest yoiur elbows on the worktop. this means it is situated further back than the manufactured cabinets. this stops your arms etc aching when quilting. look up her blog. you may find a picture of what I mean. if not do a Pm and will try to explain further.
Also look up ideas from Youtube quilting etc.

Grann of 6 The only thing missing in your room is ME!

Hmmm....when you said "quilting room" you threw me off for a moment. I have 2 small bedrooms to use...one is my "sewing room" with my fabric, sewing machines, etc., and the second is my "quilting room" which is where my quilting frame is.

You can see pics of my sewing room here:

I have just repainted the quilting room and am finishing up putting up picture rail moulding today. I also have a new Hinterburg 3-rail quilt frame to put in there. When I am done I will take new pics of the quilting room.

I'm spread out all over the house, in two small bedrooms upstairs, and the attached garage downstairs.

But, it beats the RV (we fulltimed for 4 years) space I used to sew in!

Well, I spent a lot of years dreaming of such a room. My husband wouldn't let me spend a lot of money on a sewing room. So after he passed away and I moved to a smaller house, I decided that my being happy was important too; plus it is an investment in upgrading the house. My son had a friend who did home renovations and had never done a sewing room before. I was thrilled that he listened to what I had to say and tried to fill my wishes. I think he did a great job. Storage was an all important feature for me. I didn't want to be looking at my stash all the time. It looks so nice when it is all cleaned up. The two tables can be rolled together if I need even more table space.

Love your ironing table for large projects. Looks like a winner!
