I just found this link and read the story. Goes to show that any quilt provided to a servicemember is greatly appreciated.

Very nice group. One of my resolutions for next year is to do more quilts for charity.

My daughter is a soldier in the US Army, her fiance is a US Marine who has already done one tour in Iraq. I think its wonderful that they see that others do support them and what gift they are giving. Thank you for sharing the video.

That's a great story. It's amazing how generous some people are. I've noticed that quilters seem to be an especially generous group :D

Thank you for sharing this video with us. What a lovely group they are. It's heartwarming and humbling to actually see the quilts awarded to the injured soldier it was made for.

Since the New Year, I have been a member of the Quilts of Valour UK group, and this year have made 7 of the 160-plus quilts that have been awarded to the British soldiers that have been injured in Afghanistan.

I was going to start on my own quilt in the New Year, but the British injured list has just got longer. I'm now hoping to spend some time after Christmas Day to start cutting out a Quilt of Valour for one of our injured boys.

To All the armed forces lads and lasses out in Afghanistan this Christmas, including my own darling son, however you get to celebrate I wish you a Merry and Peaceful Christmas. Keep your chin up and your heads down and we'll see you all back home soon.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful video. I do quilts for children charities here in Colorado but would be very interested in more information on quilts for Armed Service members. I have never heard of a group here in Colorado and would like to know if anyone has some information as to how I might get involved. As a side note, I also am from Scotia, NY!!!!! :-D
