Quilting a string quilt?

Just wondering how you all would quilt a string quilt? Thanks in advance.:) Elaine

I would normally do an all-over meander or loop-de-loop.

The Baptist Fan quilting design is really nice for string quilts, but can be hard to do on a domestic machine.

It wold depend on the pattern formed by the strings for me. Straight lines I might do the wiggle stitch down them. Chevrons or triangles I might follow the patterns with lines of stitching.

My string quilts are so busy, no one would ever see the quilting. I do something I want to practice, meander, loops, hearts..what ever suits my fancy!

I've always done something wavy-curvy, spirals, loop-d-loops meandering across string quilts.

I did simple meandering on a baby string quilt I made and it is fine. The quilting really does not stand out with string quilts.
