What interesting information. Thank you K for sharing it. A 16% decrease in quilters since the 2010 survey was a surprise to me. No wonder so many of the LQS have closed.

I would fill it out, too. As for your name, they already have that: that's why you got the thing in the mail. I wouldn't worry about it, as others have said: it's been around for a while, has a good reason to exist, and hopefully will be helpful to whomever sent it.

Very interesting…. haven't rec'd one but like to… They already have your address & name…

I haven't gotten one. I would fill it out and return it. Maybe we could get better quilting items offered to us. I am not gullible nor am I suspicious of everything or everyone.
I really doubt everything is or everyone is out to get us. Makes my life better. |
Quilting Survey
I completed the survey except for the question asking about income level. IMHO, that is none of their business....

Judging from the folks on here who have had experience with this kind of survey, I'd do it if offered the chance. It's a few minutes of your time, it helps the quilting industry have a sense of what quilters are interested in and how to provide those things, and, who knows, you might help shape what goes on in the quilting world for the next couple years!
I know I participate in some online surveys for which I am rewarded with copies of biannual quilting books. They are published by BHG and usually run around $10-12 when I see them at the stores. Many times I find they are compilations of quilt patterns I've seen in my mags, but it's nice to have an variety of patterns with common elements or themes. Surveys, in general, don't bother me. Plus, like several have mentioned, you don't have to answer questions you aren't comfortable with! Have fun!! |
I think I would pass on even completing the survey, especially since they ask for $1.00, plus most surveys that I've received do not charge you to fill them out. It could be some kind of scam, so I would definitely pass.

Maybe they need to put the survey online. New quilters are likely to be younger quilters, and younger people live on the internet and ignore whatever comes via "snail mail".

I read it as $1 was sent along with the survey, not that you were charged a $1. |
