I have made 2 tshirt quilts with a reversible quilt method. I use the small logos on the fronts to make nine patch blocks and then quilted all the blocks with a nine patch design. Very simple quilting by doing each block as I go the then joining the blocks with the strips like a reversible quilt. I used the same fabric on the back as the strips and the strips on the back are stitched by hand.

I made a t-shirt quilt with flannel for the sashings, border and backing. The t-shirt blocks were backed with lightweight fusible interfacing. I decided I didn't want to even try to machine quilt it--instead I tied it about every six inches with perle cotton. Worked well.
