feffertim 01-12-2011 06:55 PM

Thanks, it's a little different from the one I made, mine was made with 4" squares for all the squares, this was has different size squares for the different colors. Basically the same tho.

My thanks also...

Anyone other than me ever wonder why organizations keep sending out address labels when we can't afford the price of postage anymore....plus I rarely use snail mail thanks to the Internet? :-P

I found it on this site, where you can copy/paste it:

pre-printed labels are great for door prize forms at quilt shows. So fast, gives you more time to see the quilts. :D

I also use them on my dishes/pots/flatware when I take food to church or someone's house....put one on each piece, i.e. lid and pot or lid and casserole dish.

I use them on my quilt magazines like tabs to mark a quilt pattern that I hope to make some day. It is easy to spot the tabs.

DonnaB 01-13-2011 08:03 PM

Great idea, I also use them in my quilting books, when they are lent out, they are more likely to come back with your name in them.

OneMoreQuilt 01-13-2011 08:06 PM

Good idea. I keep a bunch in my purse and use them whenever someone talks me into buying raffle tickets for whatever.

bjdemir 01-13-2011 10:17 PM

I always carry some labels in my purse never know when you are going to need one. Never thought of using them to label qult pieces. Will have to give it a try. Thanks

i'm so glad you guys got this thread going. we are have a quilt show in okc and i wouldn't have thought about taking my labels along. i went today and man, it really made drawing entries much faster.

bellegrise 01-24-2011 09:23 PM

Wow, do you have a pattern for your folded star?

feffertim 01-25-2011 05:56 AM

It was in the Fons & Porter book 'Quilters complete guide' Great book from the library. This link has a similar one to mine, the difference is that I used 4" squares for all the cuts and they use different sizes.
