quilting a twister heart
2 Attachment(s)
I am making my first twister quilt. I used a charm pack and took a black and white photo to check my contrast, BUT when I cut my twister blocks, I found everything kind of mushed together. I am a little disappointed in my result. I am hoping I can retrieve it with my quilting. My sister recommended scribbling for the quilting. So would I do that around the outside to make the heart pop, or should I do some special quilting with the twister blocks within the quilt.. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It turned out really pretty! I think I would SITD around the heart part first. I think I would then use the Snowflake design from http://www.theinboxjaunt.com/ Look through the Tuesday Tutorials to find it from about a week ago?

I think the block is pretty, but sorry I have no suggestions for the quilting part. I really like the twister patterns.

Really cute twister heart

I would SITD around the heart, do a tight stipple on the background and loosely quilt the heart.
