I know the feeling. I worked in Alaska for 2 months.... didn't take my sewing machine. NEVER again for more than 2 weeks without!

Instead of dragging a sewing machine with me each time I go visit my son, I keep one there.. It's nice to have my own room at his house, too!

One of my older daughters is buying a house at the end of the month...due to health issues I will be moving in with her, along with my 2 youngest daughters. She knows how important sewing is to me, since I can't physically do much..She has purchased furniture and set aside half of a very large den for my sewing...Just in caes, I have 2 quilts to hand quilt, and parts prepped for a cathedral window to work with if it takes longer than planned

It must have been hard to be patient this long...it is going to be so much fun for you to start up again!

......maybe a bit of hand embroidery would help.........redwork would only need one color thread, needle, hoop and fabric, a small investment until you get organized.....there are many free patterns on line, as I am sure you know. Blessings on your new home.
