I know it says to do a lot of quilting, but I have no idea how much that is. Do I have to quilt in the larger squares?

I was hoping to just stitch in the ditch around them.

I am planning to use Warm & White batting if that makes a difference.

Thanks :)

I am pretty sure they want it very close together because the quilts get washed all the time, so I would say yes, you need to quilt in the large squares.

I plan to quilt mine every 1-2 inches. Maybe a small-med stipple, not sure yet. You surely will need to quilt inside the blocks.

I do quilts for kids too and what I find works well, especially with simple blocks, is to stitch in the ditch and also on the diagonal so it looks like an X through each block

An X through the plain and pieced blocks, or a + through them should be fine...along with checking the minimum quilting requirements on the package of batting :D:D:D I also quilt the borders and sashing every 3 inches...
These quilts may get daily washings :D:D:D

Here's the one I did using their fabric. I think I quilted at the most 1 1/2" to 2" apart, I used Warm & Natural also.

SITD plus lots of diagonal too.

Thanks all. I am going to do an X through the large squares.
