The insert that came with my QFK kit had a challenge statement, asking volunteers to make a quilt from their stash as well as completing the kit. I have had this kit for longer than I should have and want to return it. I will most likely make another from my stash and send it to them at a later time. Probably with the next kit quilt that I do. Ok - here is my question: Do all of you complete a second quilt before you return your kit? Thanks for your input!!

I have. An extra one or two. It is not required. I just find it easy to just make 2 or three all at the same time.

Almost a year later and I still have to put the binding on the kit quilt. But I did make a top from my stash-have not sandwiched or quilted yet. I should finish this one and send it and then send the other one later and pay the extra postage. I feel terrible having it so long so from now on, I won't request kits. I'll just make them from stash and send them as I get them done.

btw I pieced both at the same time and it was super quick. It's the sandwiching that takes me forever (no big area to do it easily).

The first time I just sent the quilt from the kit back. The last week I sent one from my stash with the kit quilt back.

I make the kit they send me and then make one from my stash and send both back at the same time. I wish I had time to do more for them.

I usually make atleast one from my stash to send back too :D:D:D

I ordered 2 kits at once and I made them and my mom ordered and made her quilt and I sent them all back together.

I never quilted a quilt. I have tied them- they say not to tie so I don't know if I should just make it and send it unquilted and explain that I don't know how to do this or just send it back untouched.
