Quilts for Kids - - ordered my first kit

Has anyone gotten a quilt kit from Quilts for Kids? I ordered one this afternoon and I'm excited to get started. I am wondering what comes in one of their "kits" does anyone know? Will I still need to purchase batting and material for the backing?

I did. Parts of it were cut so wonky I had to some serious refiguring. It ended up being narrower than it should have because of this.

They provide the backing. Not the batting though. You have to provide binding fabric unless you fold the backing to the front for binding.

I've gotten them often. Actually got 24 kits once for my quilt guild to complete. That worked out pretty well and all came back. Except I had to machine quilt 3 or 4 of them myself but that was okay. I drove them down to their place in PA to save on return postage as we were going to a Phillies game anyway. :)

I did several for them last year. The only problem I had was they didn't send labels I needed to complete additional quilts for them from my stash. You DO have to supply your own batting.

I've only made two from their kits and two from my own fabrics. I think batting was the only thing I had to buy. It's been a few years ~ I really should do some more.

I did one, but decided the postage costs become outrageous. There is a local quilt shop that handles a drop-off for Linus quilts, so I prefer to do that (especially since my stash needs to shrink!). I will say, though, that the choice of fabrics from Quilts for Kids was terrific.
