I just finished the top of the quilt. Was wondering if anyone pillowcased the quilt, if so how did you quilt it? I made one before and used binding. I thought I would try pillow case this time, but not sure about quilting it, after I turn it..........Thanks for your help, michele

I'll be watching this too.
I've always wanted to try the pillow case method but was afraid I'd mess up.

It seems much simpler but I've been afraid it would be less forgiving along the edges if you make a mistake in quilting.

It will be fine, as long as you can still quilt it fairly heavily :D:D:D

What is pillowcasing a quilt?

Stitching around the edges from the back side and turning out and stitching the opening closed. My only issue with that is that I usually end up with puckering. I would rather sandwich with basting spray and then roll the backing to the front to make self-binding. You need to follow their instructions as far as density of quilting. They don't want any hand-stitching as these quilts will be washed every day in hospital washers and dryers. For me an easy and fast way to quilt is the simple stitch-in-the-ditch or just diagonal straight stitching. I just finished 8 a couple weeks ago and got a very nice thank you from them.
