Hi new to posting here. I have done a few quilts for the Downey quits for kids. This is a dumb question but how do you mail yours back. It seems to get costly if you are sending back 2 or more quilts. Any suggestions? :?:

Flat rate. Just fold them real tight to fit in a small flat rate box.

Thanks. I will try that.

Funny you should be asking that question now. I'm getting ready to mail some quilts back. I've already got the box. I need to see how many I can fit in one box. Remember if you stuff to many and then have to tape the box shut it voids the flat rate. Ask me how I know?

Good to know that. I want to keep doing this and I dont mind purchasing the batting etc but the postage can get a little crazy.

You might ask a few friends to make QFK kits, send them all back at one time and share the postage.
QFK just sent me 4 kits which I shared with members of our quilt guild yesterday. UPS will usually be more economical when the package is over 5 pounds. |
Wow, I didn't know that.

How do you close the boxes if you don't tape them? Doesn't that just apply to the Priority Envelopes, that have built in adhesives?
