Qullting with an Underbraider

Using an underbraider is new to me. It just seems logical, using one to fill double duty- decorate the top and quilt while doing so.

Has anyone tried this? My master design plan would be celtic knotwork. Am I there yet? NO! Any suggestions, insight, or general thoughts?

Just think of it, a quilted top with narrow ribbon, mimicked design on the back. Two birds with one stone...

Have no idea about an underbraider. Never heard of it.

Ok I Googled it. I finally know what that odd looking thing is in my vintage attachment box! Thanks for asking about this.

Has anyone used this attachment?

No, I didn't know what it was, either.

Too funny! I have two in each of my old Singer boxes and didn't know what they were!
Thanks for bringing this up!

I have one like this for my treadle!

This video is what got me thinking!!! The only issue is that I have neither a quilting foot nor an underbraider for my treadle. Now, you can cheaply purchase whole sets of attachments for many kinds of machines on EBay but none of them fit my treadle. I guess that must be why I own other machines!

I'll try quilting with one this weekend and post the pics. Curious that no one has tried this before!!
