There are batik flannels out there, although it might end up a bit pricey...

What would happen if you used ossenberg(sp) in the centre as it frays nicely?
Just a thought.

Actually they weren't to bad in price. I found some at Fabric.com for $4.98 a yard

I thought about that, but it almost frays to much.. pull a thread and it's gone!
