i know many on here have made rag quilts and need your help with the pressing of seams. i would appreciate your help with this.
i am making a rag quilt with flannel on one side and fleece on the other. i know the fleece will not rag. should i press the seams open or to one side. then i am going to start making rag quilts out of flannel and old denium jeans. again should the seams be pressed open or to one side. i have read lots about rag quilting but don't seem to remember anything about the pressing of the seams. thank you everyone for your replies. sharon |
To the side. When you cut them, you want your seam allowances to stay together so they rag up, otherwise it doesn't turn out very raggy.
