I'm flirting with the idea of making a rag quilt with flannel and backed with quilting cotton, but am not so keen on squares. Thinking strips (no bias of course), or alternatively hexagons and/or 60° triangles (lots of bias).

Would bias edges rag ok?

I don't see why not since you'll be clipping like every 1/4 -1/2".

yes. I just did a quilt and ragged the top and the pic isn't that great, but in person it looks awesome.

Bias edges rag better than when they are cut on the straight grains :wink:
Chenille is cut on the bias for this very reason :D:D:D
