I'm wanting to make rail fence in a certain pattern. I found this thread on here from a while back http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-36001-1.htm. She called it trip around the rail. Does anyone know where I can find instructions to do this? I'm not sure if it just using one block or 2 blocks.

It's all the same block, each with three strips. The color and orientation create the pattern.
There's the center solid square, and then 9 rounds. Looks like it might be 7-8 fabrics. You can make the squares any size you want; each strip would be a third of that size. In the picture, I would guestimate the blocks are between 3.75"& 4.5" finished . That would create a quilt anywhere from 73"x95" to 87"x114". Actually, if those are 8' ceilings, it's probably the smaller. So strips are cut 1.75" each. |

does this help? http://www.quiltingassistant.com/mocktrip.html http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-36001-1.htm There was an extra period. There are no 9 patches in the quilt. It is all done with rail fence blocks. |
On page 2, she tells where she found the quilt pattern. It's beautiful!
