I am looking for ideas to do a quilt for a seven year old girl, who likes rainbows. Not sure what to do. Appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks Shazz

This is a WIP that I am making for my daughter. I got this one as a kit off ebay and I want to make it a bit longer but not much wider, but you could probably do something similar using a french braid pattern. It is done in batik fabrics which I love.

When my daughter was young she had a lovely quilt with unicorns on it jumping over rainbows, don't have a pattern for it, I just thought the two went together really well!
She is all grown up now but her signature/seal is a unicorn over a rainbow and her favourite quote is,

"Unicorns live in constant fear of becoming a figment of their own imagination"

Woody - That is beautiful!!!!

You could make a Bargello quilt. Then the colors would curve like a rainbow. Woody's is very pretty, too.

That beautiful. Everytime I look at a quilt on here I want to make one like it. I'll need to live to be as old as Methuselah to get them all done.

Oooh, I agree, a bargello would be great too, there is a great tutorial done here on the board.

Or what about something like this log cabin? (first one in the third row)
