thanks for the link... a lot to choose from there

I am going to try PP one of these days....
|
I really need to try paper piecing! It just sorta scares me with all of those pieces

Carol Doak also has a yahoo group that you can join and she just finished a Twisting Mystey. And she is always putting new patterns out there. Today she even posted a 2011 Holiday ornament that is a really cute snowman
I posted a picture of my completed top on Sat. It is under Carol Doak Twisting Mystery. It was a lot of fun and really pretty easy, and I say this since it is the first paper pieced project I have done that is bigger than a potholder |
I have a Carol Doak book that came with a CD that you can place in your computer and choose the block you want to PP. You can also click on the size you want. Then I replace my computer paper with velum that you can purchase from an office supply store. I have made a few squares for the center of quilts. Also made a table runner. I used to be intimidated with PP but I forced myself to learn. You tube has some good learning videos too. Just remember you always place the fabric on the back side of the velum and sew on the front. This really helped me. If I can PP, anyone can because I have only been piecing and quilting for three years.
