Ok, so today the race track came down and we used the wood from the track table to make a shelving unit. Now I need to figure out the best way to use the space.
I saved money on a shelving unit by recycling the wood, saved about $40 and got a bigger unit.

the shelving unit made from the race track table.

After the table was taken down (yes the dog is wearing a doggie diaper, she is in heat)

Great recycling! Wish more folks would do that!

You are off to a great start, aren't you?

Looks very nice. I need to get my room picked up also. Recycling your wood was a great idea and now you have a very nice shelving unit, something you didn't have before. Did you make the shelving unit yourself?

That's going to be great. What a wonderful use of the wood.

No, are you kidding me, I'd take a finger off or something. My ex came over and made it for me and I helped him.
I had a roll of clear shelf paper and lined the shelves, so I got a whole completed shelving unit and I didn't have to go buy a thing. Whaoo.

I would have done the exact same thing with the shelves, use the regular kitchen shelf paper. Not only will it give you a smooth surface, it adds a little color to your room. Oh and you have a very nice ex!

it'll also keep the fabric off the wood.

I had clear so I used it for now and later I will look for something more colorful.
Yes my ex is a great guy, he was my friend for 7 years before we got married (8years married) and he is my friend again now for the last 9 years. I have a very understanding hubby and I am glad he is ok with our friendship.

You've helped me to get motivated to clean my "space" so I can actually do some quilting again. I have a hard time going in there and getting anything done when it's such a mess. It's my office, scrapbooking, and quilting room so alot goes on in there but when it's unorganized nothing goes on there so lets just say, 'it's time'.
Hopefully I'll stick to it so I'll be able to post pictures when I'm finished.
