Re-positionable glue stick ?

I didn't know there was such a thing as a re-positionable glue stick until I took a card that I bought out of the bag when I got home. There is a notation "washable" on the package. Does anyone know if the re-positionable works the same way as the permanent when used on fabric? Can you sew through it? Thanks for any feedback..

Elmer's School/All Purpose Glue Stick is washable. Most all brand school glue sticks are. There is no problem sewing through it.
