Just wanted to know if the row by row kits are priced the same or are they different prices and how much? Do most of you just get the pattern or the kit?

Patterns are free.

I have bought 6 kits to date and paid between $5.00 and $20.00. The expensive one has all the applique parts laser cut with the fusible on the back. Although expensive, that will save me lots of time when I am putting it together.

I beleive from what I read that the patterns are free. They want you in the shop so you will be tempted to spend your money.

I bought 2 kits and a plate yesterday for a total of $27.00. I also know of one place that is selling their kit for $27.00 each. (I haven't gotten there yet so I haven't seen it yet.) I've found that prices vary a lot. For me, the kits are worth the money. I don't have to match fabric, just cut and have fun!

The lowest price I've seen is $10.00 (this year) and the highest $49.00 (last year) and lots hovering around $15.

I see you are in Texas. I live in the Gulf Coast area north of Houston. My DH went to a family thing in Ballinger (central West Texas) and paid $15 for the row kit at The Quilt Shop. That is the most I've paid so far. I opted to get the kits because I'm lazy. They do the work and I get to sew.

I paid $57.00 for a kit....the embellishment kit of custom buttons were $35.00 of that price. I just about passed out when I was quoted the price. It is a cute row...designed by a professional pattern designer.

From someone who still has too many kits left from last year, my recommendation is to only purchase the kits that have something really special about it and speak to you. Pick up the free pattern for the others and use your stash.

I get the free patterns. And this year, I was gifted an awesome kit, from my son. It is from Undercover Quilts in Seattle. Their kit is $46.00!! Yikes! It is a laser cut skyline of Seattle. It's gorgeous, but when he told me the price, I about fell over!!

Average kit prices around here are $16-$20.......
