re stickable glue

1 Attachment(s)
I have made Olivia this quilt for her birthday. The dolls have clothes and I need a re stick able glue so she can make the clothes stay on. The pattern suggested using fusible fleece which I did but if the quilt is moved then the clothes fall off.
Any suggestions?

Isn't putting the clothes back on part of the fun? :)

I've used felt, flannel, or 80/20 batting in the past. Not sure that re-positionable glue is a good idea, I'd be afraid it would leave marks and dirt on the dolls.

Is there a way to add a little Velcro dot to the doll or clothes and would the fleece stick to Velcro ?

I'd use Velcro like auntie v said... It'd put the loop side on the girl (so it's still soft) and a piece of the hook side on the back of the clothes. Those Velcro dots are a great idea! I think it will adhere to the fabric. Adorable quilt by the way, how fun!

I was thinking small plastic snaps on the quilt and the clothes.

Thank you all for the ideas. I don't want to add anything to the quilt surface so she can sleep with it if she wants. The type of glue I'm thinking about would only be on the clothes. A friend thought Hobby Lobby or Michaels has it so I'll check there this week end.

There used to be a glue called Tack it over and over. It was made by Aleene's and was made for that type of purpose.
I'm sure it is still made. I got it at Joann's.

I would get the sew only Velcro and stitch in on a small cut circle to the dress and the quilt. Cute idea. She should love it.

............ which was why the suggestion was made to attach the smooth side of the velcro to the quilt and then the rough/hook side would be on the removable clothing.

I made a paperdoll quilt for my DGD. i used fleece to line the back of the clothes. The clothes go back in an added pocket when she is finished playing with them. The clothes don't stay on the quilt when she uses the quilt.
