I really enjoyed Sandra Dallas's book "Alice's Tulips" . It is written in the form of letters to Alice's sister and is set during the Civil War. Sewing and quilting saved her sanity.

Kwilty Kathy mentioned Sandra Dallas...her stuff is great. Real "heart" stuff -- love, forgiveness, generosity and making through tough times. I'm listening to one of hers, Prayers for Sale. Love it!

I also loved Tallgrass -- it's about a WWII interment camp (quilty plays a roll, of course!), and The Persian Pickle Club.

All excellent books!
Blessings,
Mary Lou
