Just a thought for your spools. I've seen people glue sponge shapes on the end of spools and use them as stamps. If you aren't interested maybe a school art class would be.

Great idea. I donate a lot of other things to the preschool, don't know why I didn't think about used thread spools.

My mom worked in a pre-K and she would take my spools for the kids to practice "threading" with yarn. Develops hand-eye coordination. Other than that, I'm not sure what can be done with them. I'd love some "craft" type ideas for my two kids.
