Red Button miniatures

I just finished my first Red Button miniature quilt. I did it as a shop sample for my LQS, and was terribly disappointed with how wonky it turned out. I ended up taking the binding off, undoing the hand quilting, blocking the top, and re-quilting by machine before binding. It's better, but still a little wonky in the middle. In the meantime, I got down a shop sample of a different RB mini for some shoppers who wanted to see it closer up. It was as wonky as my original effort! When I said something to the shoppers, their reply was "Oh, they're all wonky." If you have made any Red Button miniature quilts, what has been your experience with them?
(Is wonky even a real word? :D )

Sorry, never heard of them before. When I do a miniature, I find it handy to oversize the blocks (such as HSTs), then trim them to size. Learned that from Rhonda.

I've made plenty of mini quilts; in fact they're kind of my specialty. I've never heard of them either, but the fact that your shoppers said they're all wonky would definitely turn me off from that company for good.

I saw the samples of these at a quilt show several months ago and I remember how cute they were- lots of sweet embroidery added to them. I do not recall them looking wonky though....sorry you had trouble with the pattern!

Oh my, they sure are cute. I can see that you have to be very very precise on your cuts. oooo, but, they are darling!
