Redwork?
 

My question is what makes redwork embroidery vintage? I happen to be on ebay which is rare for me but I ran across some redwork/embroidery of bonnet girls. She said they were vintage and I thought perfect because my mom gave me this really great fabric with like a holly hobby figure in reds, whites and a hint of blue and it is vintage from the 70's. So reading on in the add she says that she can make as many sets as needed. So I'm thinking vintage refers to the design??? What do I did to look for to get ones that are from the same time as my fabric or am I aiming to high? Thanks for all your help in advance

Oh I love your snowy German village scene; where are you stationed? I spent 7 wonderful years in Kaiserlautern area and Frankfurt many, man years ago. Have never regretted the experience.:)

So she's making vintage redwork blocks? If it's recently done, it's not vintage no matter what she says. Ebay sellers can pretty much claim whatever they want, but that doesn't make it so.

If she is making them up now, I would think that just the design she is using is a vintage type design. Keep looking. You might just get lucky. Check out yard/garage sales that offer fabric, Craigs list, second hand stores and even people on the board here may have some in their stash they would be willing to part with.{maybe}
