? regarding the width of your Bernina frame
 

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for your responses. I am having my frame delivered in the next few days and now I'm thinking of setting it up in a different area, problem is that I don't have the measurement for the width. I purchased the 5 foot expandable to 10 feet so that isn't the issue because I have several places I can set it up, like I said since I am rethinking placement I would really appreciate the measurement for the width (in other words front to back ). I have been using 5 feet as a guesstimate but would rather know for sure. I don't want to call the dealer and bother him so of course decided to ask you all knowing I would get an answer.

Call the dealer. This kind of question is not a bother.

remember that you need room on each side of the frame to comfortably move around, load the quilt, etc. it takes more room than you might think.

I agree that you should call the dealer. They get paid to answer questions. You could have also just looked on line.

You need at least 3 feet in front of the frame and if you are going to do pantos, you need 3' in back too. You probably want at least 2' in back to allow for the machine movement. You also need 3 feet on the side with the cranks.

I don't have the measurements but I must say I am pea green with envy I would love one of those , I don't have the space or I would have one .Enjoy your new frame . Cathy

When we added on my sewing room addition, we figured in a couple of more feet to the overall room dimensions to be on the safe side and I'm glad we did. I have a Hinterberg stretch frame that's 4' x 10'.
