Remember that Jelly Roll Race Quilt with Squares?

A while back someone posted a quilt showing how they added random squares to a jelly roll race quilt. I've spent the last 40 minutes trying to find it on this board. Anyone remember where it is? I thought I bookmarked it, but can't find it. Help?

This one?

I think it had little white squares in it? I will look back in my profile and see if I can find it as I am pretty sure I commented on how lovely it was. I will update this post if I can find it.

Check the Gallery for the Jelly Roll Race pics ... and you'll find some.

Yes! Yes, Tartan--that is the one. Please, if you find it, kindly post.

It was posted by Juztme under the title My 'Try It' Quilt on 04-20-2013. I would do a direct link if I knew how but you should be able to type in the title in the search box. Hope this is the one you are looking for.

Thanks Ladies--I am grateful for you solving my problem AND providing more inspiration.

The tutorial on that site is absolutely wonderful. I love it. A little while ago I bought several packages of 2 1/2" wild batik strips (I think there are 22 in a package). I probably wouldn't have bought yardage of these batiks as they are not exactly my choice of prints, but at the price I couldn't pass them up. They were $2.00 each and I bought about 7 or 8 of them. This would be perfect for using them. Thanks so much.

I did one a couple years ago using all blue batiks and adding some red batik squares randomly. It breaks them up nicely.

I to missed the original thread. What a great idea. I use the strip method for the back of my quilts, next time a nice contrast block will be added. Thanks for the idea.

Hah, this one was super - I watched Jenny's video (MSQC) on this site (video referenced half-way down page) and laughed - she did her usual "it's so much fun" presentation and it was hilarious! A really neat idea for a quilt.

Wow, where did you find the strips for $2. Great for charity quilts.

I really like this one with random solid black squares in the jellyroll quilt.

jelly roll ideas

[Thanks so much for the links. ]

I guess that I also missed this. Clever way to add some zip to the jelly roll. I also appreciated the link to the Lyn Brown site. More ideas --just not enough time.

I really want to make one of these. I have been cutting 2 1/2 strips from my ton of scraps. Thanks for posting this site.
