Well, lo and behold, looky what I found at Bed, Bath & Beyond today! Sheet Smoothers - Long Sheet Straps. These are made to go from the head of the bed to the foot, to hold on the sheets. But they would be awesome for quilt basting too, for those who can't use clamps on their tables! I'm going to try them out and let you know how it works. Pretty pricey at $14.99 for 2, BUT I used my BB&B coupon so I got 20% off. They are length-adjustable too so if your table is small or large, I imagine they would work for either.

I just use painters tape ... tape the backing to the table instead of clamping.
Then spray bast on top of it.

Occasionally I use masking tape but my table top is formica so it doesn't mess up my table top

I use painters tape too. I still use my kitchen floor. My table is small and round.

I try to avoid the floor ... tabletop is hard enough on my poor ol' aching back!

I'm intrigued as to how some do it on their walls, and I'm considering trying that sometime soon!

I use painters tape as well - on the wood floring in our kitchen/great room area. Works like a charm - but I agree that it's a little hard on the old back....

Great idea for when the tables aren't yours to tape. I have a few of the old style ironing board clasps but I'm going to buy these extra long ones. They are reusable and good sticking painters tape is expensive.

Also a reminder or an FYI Bed Bath & Beyond coupons do not expire even though they have an expiration date. And you can use up to 5 coupons / on 5 items per transaction

I just use plastic clamps from Home Depot, they don't touch my table. My table has a glass top and works great for me. The sheet clamps are a good idea for others.

Thanks Joyce, I had no idea about the BB&B coupons. Now that's what I call useful information (LOL) - it saves us money!!

By the way, I love the quilt in your avatar - it's gorgeous!
