Removing Color Stain On Fusible Applique'd Quilt
Anyone have any suggestions for removing color without bleach on a quilt using fusible applique? I just spent five hours marking and then quilting a minature quilt...I used a water soluble marking pen and don't you know when I went to remove the marking pen I inadvertantly caused some of the orange applique pieces to bleed! It's orange on white, but a slightly off white fabric. I don't want to use bleach and am trying to avoid the washing machine because it's fusible applique.
Any ideas?? |
A little peroxide applied with a cotton swab? Then, with a swab again, a little (VERY LITTLE) soap. Take a clean swab, wet with cold water, squeeze most of the water out, then blot up the peroxide and soap. Good luck!

That's an idea - thank you! ;) You know you did something really wrong when you've stumped the quiltboard!

Let us know if it worked for you, please!

I have had good luck by dabbing a damp (wet and then wrung out) Color Catcher on the 'bleed' until it is pulled out...or at least much less noticible.
