I managed to make a mess with the fusable interfacing. I got it on my iron and ironing board. How do I remove it? I know someone on this board will have the answer! LOL thanks JoAnn

You can clean it off of the iron, but I don't think it will come off of the ironing board cover.
Magic erasers will work on the iron :D:D:D

Heat the iron up and scrub it with wadded up waxed paper. For the cover, just iron it until the sticky is gone, then ignore it.

You can burn it off the cover. I kept a hot iron on a patch of fusible on my cover and it burned off. I was going to change the cover and just wanted to know if it would work. I use oven cleaner on my iron, works about as good as anything else.

Faultless makes a good iron cleaner. You might try laying down a layer of salt or sand (do not try this with sugar) on a piece of newspaper or paper bag and iron over it. The abrasive surface might help clear the surface (as long as it doesn't have a special non-stick coating). I've never been very lucky getting the adhesive off fabrics. I always use a scrap piece of muslin or duck cloth on top of my ironing surface just in case.

Agree with the Faultless iron cleaner. I have used it very successfully but don't know about the iron cover! Good luck.

If you don't have any iron cleaner, you can try a used dryer sheet - not the foam rubber kind but the type that feels like interfacing (I use Snuggle). When your iron is warm (be careful it's not so hot that you burn yourself!), rub the soleplate with the used dryer sheet. Then I usually lay a paper towel over the edge of the ironing board and rub the iron on that to remove any residue.

I don't have a solution for cleaning the ironing board cover, but I can tell you what I do when I am using fusible - I put a piece of freezer paper (waxy side down) on the ironing board. Then press with the warm iron - that keeps it in place. Lay fabric and fusible on this, protects great!

Parchment paper works really well too.
