Repairing a Quilt

1 Attachment(s)
Just saw a thread about repairing a quilt that reminded me that this board is the absolute best place to get good advice. I'm sorta stumped about how to fix a quilt my mother made years ago. I don't have a pic of the entire quilt, but I understand it has these problems all over. Any ideas?

That, to me, looks like degradation of the fabric itself. Looks like the black and white print is beyond help. Sometimes, no matter how sentimental the quilt is there is no fixing it. Sadly that looks to be the case with this log cabin. Look at that green though! Holding up like iron. I bet it was a poly cotton blend.

I agree with feline fanatic. Looks like it's time to make mom a new one.

If you want to salvage the parts that are still good, you could cut out large pieces and put them back together in a quilt as you go method.
