I wonder where they are made and my fear is they may be sold sometime as the real thing should be against the law for copyright but then I have heard about pirateing music maybe this is the same thing I would not want one I love my original
|
No thanks - I will stick to the real thing.

Always check the serial numbers.

Featherweights are only 12 lbs. - they are easy to transport. Great for classes, retreats, and sewing guilds. I even take mine on vacation. They are small and very sturdy, made with no plastic and will sew virtually every type of fabric, if you have the right needle and thread.

Thanks for explaining!

Ultimately, someday some sleazeball may try to sell them as real FW, and I don't know how you protect yourself other than learn all you can about the original and look at the product carefully. Always be an informed consumer. |
Those replicas are too new looking, don't you think?? Seems to me that most of us would realize that by the machine, case, etc. I feel badly for the novice to the FW world though :(

My dear friend has a FW that looks like it just rolled right off the assembly line. Beautiful! Hope these gems stay as gems and the repros stay as is.

All I know is my "baby" is staying right where she belongs...in my sewing room!!
