Great story and you are a great story teller!! Beautiful restoration. I know your wife is going to enjoy it for many years to come.

You might also want to post under the Vintage Sewing Machine Shop topic, too. Great restorers over there.

Welcome to the Board!!

Also, welcome to the board.

You know, we wish that we had taken before picture, but did no think to do so, not realizing how great the restoration would turn out. Will remember in the future to do so.

Some people prefer this machine for FMQ to any of their other machines - I haven't tried it enough to know and I'm not coordinated enough to walk and chew gum at the same time, but you might want to give it a shot. It's got a great reputation as a free-motion machine. :)

Have fun!

You know, when the time comes for you to refinish your cabinet my suggestion would be to dismantel it completely. That is what I did on my wife's machine, it makes for a much easier process to work on single boards.

Thanks for your welcome to "QB" and guidance. We (my wife & I) are still trying to find out way around in this neighborhood.
