I decided to finally try this stuff. Was carrying a bottle into the house and dropped it on my ceramic tile. Bottle busted open. It went everywhere....tile, walls, down the heating vent but most importantly on my Pergo.
I have rinsed it twice with straight water. Anybody have a clue what is in this stuff? I am concerned it will eat the finish off of my Pergo and this is just as you enter my formal living room. TIA Cindy |

I called the manufacturer and they were very nice just keep rinsing with water.
Funny thing is I think it made it shinier! Either that or my floor really needed a good wash. |
I am happy to hear that it didn't cause any damage to your walls and floors...
I am wondering how much went down the vent, and did it get to a part of the furnace where it could cause harm/corroding? Just a thought.... |
I think it just splashed in there. It has a "gold" filigree cover on it that was all spotted.
Luckily I think no harm just a mess! |
I'm glad u had a positive reponse from pergo... a few years ago , I contacted thema bout a dull spot in the middle of mine.. I got very poor service, it was less than a yr old and had been professionally installed.... they refused to address the issue and I have banned them from my home since.. I had to rip the pergo out and I definately went with a different product after their lousy customer service .. that stuff aint cheap!!....

I dont know what pergo is, but I am glad that your spillage story has a happy ending. (I would say that it is not good the bottle burst open either- was it glass?)

Actually it was the company that made Retayne that was so nice. I talked right to one of their chemist.
Not glass, it hit on the ceramic tile where the lid screws on. The lid split. |
