Retreat
We are having a wonderful retreat, at North Mountain Retreat in Blosersville Pennsylvania. It is right next to the mountain and it is beautiful. The trees are changing their colors the weather is going to be a little colder today. I hope the sun shines a little bit. I Think I am the first one up this morning. Jeb the owner is making sounds of breakfast, hope the coffee comes soon. Well, back to work on my latest project the Toile Stars I will show you a picture when I get the top finisned. So long for now I must keep quilting time moves on. Mim

Retreat
I live in Maryland and am always looking for new retreats. PM me with some specifics such as: where are you located exactly, can anyone attend your retreat, do you have individual teaching classes or do you all just do your own thing?
|
I'm leaving today for a week long retreat. Lake setting with lots of walking trails and the kitchen is open 24 hours. We will have a two day workshop with Debby Maddy. I go to several a year, it's only about 15 mins from my house! No worry something may happen and I need to get home.

me too....jealous.....

Marian, I live in Mechanicsburg area and would love to do a retreat locally. Am interested in more info. Hope you had a great weekend.

I would love to know more about the retreat. What days are the retreats and the times?

Love, love, love retreats. Going to one this up-coming weekend, but I think your area sounds much nicer, but I'm sure not complaining.

What a wonderful retreat, I worked on just one project until I had it finished. I will post a picture it I can remenber how. Not much sleep, but that is what retreats are for. The meals were yummy. the friendships awsome. Coffee was brought down early every morning before breakfast. The machines were humming and the fabric was flying. Such wonderful colors in the projects the 4 members of the retreat were doing. This retreat is full and they arn't taking on more because they are only going to be operating another 2 years then they are going to retire. The owner is a quilter as is her sister who lives near by. We are all sad to hear this, but we understand where she is coming from.
I wish you all the same fun at your retreats. Keep on stitching. |
I have never been on a quilting retreat but loved it when I went on a Girl Guide Leaders retreat in Canada. No on made our breakfast but sure had the coffeeon as soon as my eyes opened. Enjoy the rest of your time!
|
I so envy you! Our group goes away in 2 weeks and I can't wait! Have lots of fun and get lots done!
|
leaving Thursday for a retreat outside of Houston with Eleanor Burns. Can't wait.

Your retreat sounds wonderful. My quilt guild had our retreat in Sept. in the mountains of Montana. There were 32 of us. We take our own projects to work on. We also have a retreat theme and project that pertain to that part of our retreat. You can do as much or as little as you like. It's very relaxed and we try to keep everyone's pocketbook in mind. We come home energized and ready to tackle all the things that we've been putting off. P.S. Our members range in age from 20's to 90's. Our 90 year young lady is a crackerjack. Puts some of us younger quilters to shame.

I am off to a 3.5 day retreat on Thursday - I can't wait. My roomie is always one of the 1st ones up and goes for a long walk to get the paper each morning. Looking forward to seeing your top put together.
|
I have never been on a retreat, but it sounds like so much fun. Maybe next year.
