Your front and back are perfect together.

The quilts were totally different patterns so there was nothing to line up. The 'back' was a little small so the little strip to widen it was another design extra. The double seams were no problem, either to quilt or in weight.

In doing a reversible quilt, would it be a good idea to press seams open as much as possible?

I did a "turning 20", basically fat quarters, on the back of a hunters star, king size and hand quilted, It turned out well, and have used both sides as a quilt rotation. I would shy away from a detailed two sided.

If you are taking it to a longarmer to quilt, call her and see what her opinion is. It might help you make up your mind on which way to go.

So much good information from everyone!! Jane Quilter - I was actually thinking of doing a Turning 20 pattern on the back. Seemed a good choice if I go this direction for a number of reasons. I'll be using my Elna 740 to FMQ. I just planned on doing an all over meandering pattern (probably stippling). Still need to finish the front first, then I'll make a final decision on which way I am going.
