My friend is a massage therapist. She makes & sells rice bags. I just received one as a gift & recommend you try one. Many patterns online. So comforting!

Are these like the buckwheat and lavendar ones? What shapes does she do?

Thanks Dottie! A few years ago, I dried a bunch of feild corn, and used it. Worked great!

My MIL made a whole slew of sizes- small ones, bigger ones, long ones and well some just down right wonky too!!!

I use one as a wrist rest on my desk. If my wrist starts to get sore, I pop it into the microwave.

My MIL made me one last year! I love them! She just used an old tube sock & rice. I have made a few out of stray socks that have lost their mate's, & put a little lavendar oil in with the rice! These are the best things ever!

I have made them in all shapes and sizes, depending on where and how they are going to be used.
Don't fill them up all of the way, so they are stiff
The moist heat you get from them is wonderful :D:D:D

I gave eye packs one year for Christmas to a group of gal friends. Used heavy purple satin, lavender ties, and filled with buckwheat and dried lavender. They could be chilled or heated, depending on the need. Even kept one for myself!
Also, not as fancy, but useful. I filled a new opaque knee high nylon type sock. Tied it shut. I heat it and drape it over my shoulder when it needs heat therapy. Because it is flexible, it acts as its own counterweight. (Some in front, some in back) Hope you can picture what I mean. LOL
