Just completed the Ricky Timms Quilt Show Seminar in Cape Cod (Hurricane Earl and all). What an amazing 3 days!!! What a groups of talented individuals!! and each so different. Ricky is an amazingly talented man between his quilting and his music. Alex Anderson was exactly like she was on her show and as different from him as night and day. Libby Lehman is hysterically funny and what she can do with thread would make your eyes pop. If you get the chance it is worth the money. One word of caution...you will want to buy lots of Ricky's hand dyed fabric and all the notions...and if you leave without feeling a burning need for a Bernina you must have slept through the whole thing.

Good for you! I took it two years ago and would do it again if I have the opportunity. Did he have the concert on Friday night? I read they were finishing early for the hurricane, but I hope you had a chance to listen to his not only music, but story telling.

Aren't they all fabulous! I so enjoyed Ricky and Alex when they were at Sisters this year. Would love to do a whole weekend with them.

I subscribe to their web show and really enjoy it! They both seem like really likable people with a wealth of experience and knowledge between them! Maybe I will make it there some day!! :D

The concert was integrated into the talks on quilting so we didn't have to worry about being trapped on the Cape during the "storm". The hurricane fizzled out and resulted in virtually no problems.
For the person that asked about what we made...nothing! But boy did we learn things!! I bought 10 1-yard pieces of Ricky's hand dyed fabrics and my friends and I are planning some craft days so we can tackle the techniques while they are still fresh.
