Our quilt guild has Ricky Tims and Karen K Stone coming to our next show in January 2018 on South Padre Island. I will be taking classes from both and Ricky is giving a concert on Friday evening that I am planning to attend. Ricky is staying an extra 2 days and is giving a Luminaries class and I have signed up for it!!! Cannot wait!!!

Some friends and I will see him in June in Shipshewana. Can't wait!

Wow! That sounds great. I recently bought a bunch of the DVDs of The Quilt Show. They have been on sale for $5.99 per 13 episode DVD set. I've been binge watching Ricky and Alex.

He is very entertaining and he has some methods that are not traditional.

Nice, sounds like you'll have a great time.

What a treat...quilting and a concert. I haven't heard him sing but I love his quilting expertise and ideas.

Attended a show by Ricky Tims in Canon City, Co last year. And absolutely wonderful time and learned so much. I have learned to rethink a lot of what I knew, although I have not yet put it into practice, :(. You will have a great time!

Can others sign up? What quilt guild is sponsoring? Also, what class is Karen Stone doing? I love her Clam Session quilt.

How fortunate to be able to attend a class presented by Ricky Tims. Not only will you learn from him but also get to listen to his beautiful piano music. BONUS!

I went to the Quilt Luminarium in Houston in February. Had a fabulous time and learned so much. Working on a top now that implements some of the things I learned. His supplies are wonderful and the dyed fabric is to die for. My poor SIL couldn't get near the fabric table as her allergies tuned up. I would surely recommend it. Great time.

I took a class from Ricky years ago when he did one thru the local quilt guild. It was a very good. You'll have a great time.

I took his class the last time he was in Shipshewana. I took one of his tips to heart: When fmq on a domestic machine, no matter what size the quilt is, quilt it one pot holder at a time. It helped me relax and now I enjoy it so much more.
It was an awesome time. You will learn so much and laugh out loud while doing it. |
Yes, anyone can sign up and also attend our quilt show...the information for Ricky Tims is on his website. There is a discount for early signup.

Many years ago our guild had Ricky Tims. He was so funny when he talked about how he got into quilting (he had lost his job and used his grandmother's sewing machine.) I have one of his books. His directions are great. You will have a great time. Lucky you.

I Attended a Ricky Tims seminar a few years ago (with Alex Anderson and Libby Lehman). On of the most FUN and educational I've done. I'd go to another Ricky lecture or whatever if he ever gets back anywhere near me.
