Road Trip to KC/Blue Springs area Shops to visit

I will be traveling to KC this weekend and am wondering about any must see/stop quilt shops on the way. Be traveling 36 west and one way will be I-70. I know about MSC and so any ideas would be great. Thank you.

Depending on your timing, you can do lunch at a cute little diner about a block or so up the street from MSQC. I'm hoping to get there on Good Friday as we head to Nebraska for Easter.

I will leave some fabric for you, he he. I am supposed to be on a fabric moratorium but a girl's gotta look when these opportunities arise!

I have not been to this place but I saved it for my next trip to KC. I have no connection to it- just thought it looked interesting.

The diner closed down the street from MSQC. We were there Feb. 15th and they told us it went out of business. We were sad. We ended up eating in Cameron.

In the KC area, we have a few quilt shops. One just opened in Blue Springs, which is east of Kansas City on I-70. Patchwork Pals just opened on Highway 7 north of I-70 near the Price Chopper.

Quilter's Station is in Lee Summit down 291 at the Woods Chapel exit. Go right onto Woods Chapel for about 2 blocks and Quilter's Station is back behind Sonic in a strip mall.

There is one north of the river in downtown Parkville called Peddler's Wagon. It is great because they have so many samples hanging around the shop.

There is also one in Overland Park, Kansas, called Harper's Fabric on Santa Fe.

On down I-70 in Lawrence, Kansas, there are two wonderful quilt shops right near each other.

It would be well worth the trip to travel to Parkville, just off I-29, and visit Peddlar's Wagon. It is quite an experience.

Thank you all. I went to local shop just to buy a few bright colors for a border. They were having a sale. Oh no. Some fabric just screamed to me and I had to bring it home. I will need to stay strong, but I am going to look anyhow.
