Google how to use a rolled hem foot. I found some videos online that show how to use it.
There is definitely a learning curve with this foot. Get out some scraps so you can practice. Good luck! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdDysubNrdM Here's one, there are more. |
That one needs practice.
Satin can be a challenging fabric. |
Thank you for sharing this. I have the foot and never had any idea how it worked. Will have to go try it later.

yes, it needs practice. the trick is to hold the fabric up and to the left of the foot/needle.

Maybe try it with scraps of cotton first, the satin is much slicker and harder to work with like bearisgray said :D:D:D

Theree are also several different sizes of the rolled hem foot. I have three or four sizes. And yes, satin is a difficult fabric to work woth.

Thanks for this video. I'd sort of got it to work most of the time, but this is a great practically fool proof way at least on cotton.

I just got one as well from a Quilt shop I work at and I've been practing with scraps. I got it to work but I have a long way to go.
