I am in the process of redecorating my sewing room
I want to paint it a color but am afraid to mess up my
perception of colors when previewing fabric. Any Ideas or
suggestions

My sewing room is a light sage. It never interferes with fabrics on design wall. Would think any neutral or light color would work.

I would use a neutral color like beige. This way bold colors will not be over powered by a bold background.

Mine is a light buttery yellow color. Am very happy with it, especially during the winter!

Mine is white, but that is because I am too lazy to move everything to paint it.

Mine is a light purple - maybe lilac. I love it. The guy we bought the house from loved the Minn. Vikings and this is their color. I thought it was going to be a real deal breaker, but it has really grown on me.

Welcome to the board from Southern California!
I have a nice pretty light blue on the walls with the ceiling and trim and my wall of cabinets are white. My sewing desk and cutting table are white as well. But there are two large computer desks with hutches that are in an antique redish oak.

I recently painted my sewing room - it was a spring green with hydrangea wallpaper border/accent wall. This time I painted a neutral color - kinda like cafe au lait, with cream ceilings, dark wood window sills, brown marbled tile on floor. I like it soooo much better, but can't really explain why

I'm thinking of painting mine a faint light creamy pink. It sure needs a coat of paint!

Hi, Painted my sewing room a light peach and the door is a shade darker peach. Looks wonderful

I think most lighter shades would be great, I have a light mauve/tannish color and doesn't interfere with anything.

I painted my room a light green. I love it. It is so relaxing. I don't think it affects my colors of fabric. at least I haven't notice it. I did vinyl tiles in cream and 2 light shades of green in a quilt pattern on the floor.

The more natural light you have in the room, the bolder color you can get away with. I had quite a lot of natural light in my last home, and my sewing room was a bold greenish yellow (sort of an olive color). I absolutely loved it, and noticed no affect on my color perception. My current sewing room has very little natural light and is a pale, neutral aqua.

I think anything in a pale shade ... pick the color you love and go with it!

My sewing studio is a peach color. I love it.
